Welcome to the SSMN Applicant Portal, where you can apply for all active application-based programming, including grants, awards, and special events. SSMN Grant winners should also use the applicant portal to submit all grant reports.

SSMN Research Symposium Application 

Application opens: May 1, 2025

Application closes: June 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time

Program description: The SSMN Research Symposium is a multidisciplinary alumni event that first launched in 2023. Sloan Scholar alumni from all fields and career levels are encouraged to submit talk topics. Talks are not limited to research, but may focus on mentoring, teaching, community work, passion projects, or another topic the presenter wishes to share with the alumni community. The symposium is a preconference event at the SREB Institute on Teaching and Mentoring, alternating each year with the Academic Job Market & New Faculty Boot Camp. 

The 2025 Research Symposium will take place in Atlanta, GA, on October 30. The SREB Institute will then run from October 31-November 2. 

Updates on how to participate in the Symposium will be shared via the SSMN email list. To subscribe, send an email to sloan-network+subscribe@ssrc.org and the sending address will be automatically registered.

 


Application for 2026 SSMN Grants and Awards

The application period for annual SSMN Grants and Awards runs approximately December through March.

SSMN Academic Job Market & New Faculty Boot Camp Application

The SSMN Academic Job Market & New Faculty Boot Camp alternates annually with the Research Symposium. Information about the next boot camp will be available starting in late spring 2026.
